WHY DO WE DO THIS?

In the Bible Jesus Christ healed all who came to him with all manner of sickesses and diseases.

He taught his followers to do the same after he was gone. He has given Christian disciples delegated power and authority to accomplish this. Therefore we're only doing what he told us to do.

RELEVANT BIBLE VERSES:

"Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness" (Matthew Chapter 9 verse 35)

"While the sun was setting, all those who had any who were sick with various diseases brought them to Him; and laying His hands on each one of them, He was healing them (Luke Chapter 4 verse 40)".

"And large crowds came to Him, bringing with them those who were lame, crippled, blind, mute, and many others, and they laid them down at His feet; and He healed them" (Matthew Chapter 15 verse 30).

"The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them (Matthew 24 verses 34)".

THE BASIS FOR US DOING IT:

"Jesus summoned His disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness".
